AllState 400 at the Brickyard 2008

I went to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Sunday, July 27th for the 15th running of the Brickyard 400 :)

I went with one of my best friends from Ball State and former roommate, Lauren. We've decided we had so much fun that we want to make it a tradition; hopefully next year we can get some friends to come out and we can tailgate all day. We had some good seats, considering we bought them off people who couldn't attend from www.Craigslist.org; check out the website if you ever need anything. Then, Mom got lucky and won garage/pit passes from Sprint- so we had to be at the track at 8am! We got off to a late start (ha, 5:30am) then got stuck in traffic *yea, traffic at 7am.* and had to run to the infield where they informed us they weren't starting until 8:30. eeks, we made it. From there, we went to the free concerts who had Craig Morgan and the Charlie Daniels Band. Loved it! Then we headed up to our seats about 1:30 for the Start of the race at 2pm. It was a fun race, being that we could see the end of turn 2, all of backstretch, turn 3 and a distant turn 4. TV does not give justice to the noise and crazieness! Overall, great day :)

June pt 2

June was pretty eventful. Working for the University kept me busy so going home was far and few in between. I did go home for the Brad Paisley concert, a random weekend, and then camping. Here are a few pictures!

maybe you should know me first.

I love this crazy tragic, sometimes almost magic, awful beautiful life.



While I am a senior at Ball State University, I have no idea what I'm doing. You're just along for the ride as much as me. (But please remember to take the backseat!)

My goal for this is to show the world what craziness my life has in it and to look back on everything and smile. I wanted a way to give my family and friends a clue into my life and an update for those who are far away. Maybe someone might learn something from my downfalls.

This is just a trial run for now; maybe I'll get good at "blogging" by time school starts (RA move in is August 9th.) Questions, Comments and Concerns/Advice is always welcomed- but don't hate me if I dont take it.

So, a little bit about me:
I believe in Karma but I'm Catholic. I'm just a small town girl living in this crazy mixed up world. My hopes are to make it to the big city. If you can't tell your parents what you're doing, you probably shouldn't be doing it. I love Disney (world, Walt, movies, all that it entails) I'm a very picky eater. I fear storms. Love designer purses, but I don't care so much for fashion. I'm your average jeans & Tshirt or sweatshirt kinda girl. I love my family and I know they'd be there for me whenever. I've been told I'm going to hell by my priest and i'm quite proud of that (mostly becuase I know if I'm going, so is he lol) I can't stand being disliked. I talk alot. alot might be an understatement. I have no problem starting a conversation with anyone, and would literally die without communication. I hate scary movies. I hate convient friends. I love random trips. I love vacations. My biggest fear is being left alone or considered unsuccesful. I hate failing. I like being the "go to" person with problems. I fit in with a lot of different groups and personalities. i like to keep my 'groups' seperated, and would rather have 10 friends than one best."Mistakes are painful, but they're the only way to find out who you really are" I hate a dirty kitchen & bathroom, but i never make my bed. I love traveling but sometimes I over schedule. I live by quotes. I compare my life to movies/TV and to quote Mel Gibson, "All our lives are like movies, some just haven't been written yet." I get by with a little help from my friends.

My life as of now: pretty simple. I'm taking classes here in Muncie, while working for the University as a Conference Assistant (i ensure camps get room keys, rooms, and security pretty much)

The biggest thing on my mind: 1 year til graduation! 1 month until RA'ing begins.
